There are many ways a bag can be innovative in terms of materials its made from as previously mentioned it could be made out of mushroom leather or even pineapple fibres, or even recycled plastic. Bags could also be innovative through their actual design in terms of unconventional shapes or even with technology integrated into the bags through chargers, led lights, speakers, tracking systems to find a lost bag.

In my opinion I'm not very fond of any of the designs I have researched regarding led light bags I think they just look tacky, unless you are going to a rave or have a likelihood of losing your bag or forgetting what it looks like I don't believe i would see these particular bags floating around in public. As for the bags with built in chargers and location tracking I definitely think these are interesting features to integrate into a bag especially if you can do so while maintaining the ability to use the bags functionality normally without impacting the amount of storage space inside the bag. I quite enjoy a whimsical bag, the prospect and idea of whimsical/unconventionally shaped bags I think there's a lot of potential there especially when creating a line of products with a running theme through because instead of per say covering the bag in the same pattern or making it out of the same fabric you could mimic a shape from a pattern with the bag or have interesting cut-outs which you could do by making the bag out of a less conventionally used material like acrylic or some sort of plastic recycled of course.
