fashion in context part 4 fashion rebels slay or nay
hi i really don't wanna be here today work has been killing me but what is needed is needed so lets get into it so i can sleep lmao,
fashion rebels, simple concept groups of people or companies that pander to those groups that go against the fashions of the time etc or just trend setters etc there's not much of a difference in my opinion especially if we are talking in context of times like the 1900s. for instance one of the examples i could mention would be YSL and their ability to popularise suits and trousers for women (this is after leaving Dior might i add) which in my opinion adds to the rebelliousness of the act. in all honesty my class notes are lacking on this subject but i distinctly remember but what i do remember is talking about punk and specifically the popularisation of material and fabrics such as leather and suede in the late 60s to early 70s which probably fits into the rebellion somewhere as in those times it was the evolution of the teddy boys and those kind of groups from very smart and professional looking young men into more individual and as the title would very obviously suggest more rebellious teens awarding teenagers their own clothing genre and the beginning of the separation of children and their parent sas there never was a separation period where they become their own people as they went form kids to carbon copies of their parents very quickly.
